FOR LAND THAT HAS A STORY

Your land.
Your story.
Made clearer.

A home, a harvest, years of care. Dwellng is being built to help people make the story of the land they live on or work easier to explain.

A clearer record, not a replacement for title.

ROOTED IN PLACE. BUILT WITH CARE.

A PLACE HOLDS MORE THAN A BOUNDARY

PLACE DESERVES TO BE UNDERSTOOD · EVIDENCE, GATHERED WITH CARE · CLARITY WITHOUT FALSE PROMISES · STEWARDSHIP MADE LEGIBLE

THE PART THAT GETS MISSED

Not every land story begins with a paper title.

People live on, tend and farm land through many kinds of local arrangements. Their histories can be real and meaningful, yet difficult to set out when the paperwork is incomplete or held in many places.

Dwellng is a proposed way to bring that story together: a structured record of context and supporting material, made easier to review and explain. It helps establish and document your ownership and your, and others’, rights.

TWO PERSPECTIVES, ONE CAREFUL RECORD

Where do you come into the story?

We’re shaping Dwellng around the people who know a place best—and the people who need to understand it better.

CLARITY WITHOUT OVERCLAIMING

Trust is part of the foundation.

Land and rights are deeply local. A useful tool has to be clear about its limits, careful with people’s information and honest about what still needs human judgement.

Next best to government title

A Dwellng record would not be a government-issued title, just the next best thing. It will be much, or maybe all, of what you need to obtain a title certificate in your locality, and documents your legal rights to your land as well as possible for you. A Dwellng record is not a government-issued title, just the next best thing to it. It doesn’t change anyone’s legal rights, it just reinforces your existing rights!

Local context matters

Any local information or guidance needs to be verified for the relevant jurisdiction. This introduction is not legal advice. This is not legal advice, but guidance on how best to establish your rights for your locality (and document your use of your land) without more-recognized, legally binding documents.

Sharing is a choice

Put simply, the landholder is in control of what they choose to explain and share.
